Após seu contato com a escarificação
tradicional africana no Egito, o artista se aprofundou
em estudos e hoje é um dos nomes mais importantes
da modificação corporal do Mundo.
Entrevistamos Howie (Lunacobra) afim de conhecermos
um pouco mais sobre o “eyeball tattooing”,
confiram!"
"He
comes from a family of doctors. The great desire of
his grandfather, was that his grandchildren follow his
“footsteps” and become surgeons.
After his contact with traditional African scarification
in Egypt, the artist was in deeper study about tribal
culture (ritual and art) and today he is one of the
most important names of body modification in the world.
We are talking about, Howie (Lunacobra) and we interviewed
him in order to understand more about the "eyeball
tattooing," check on it!"

Angel: Como você começou
a trabalhar com a eyeball tattooing?
Howie: Tudo começou quando
eu estava saindo com Shannon Larratt, nós
falamos sobre isso e dois dias depois ele, Pauly
e Josh tinham as minhas primeiras tattoos.
T.
Angel: How did u start to work with eyeball
tattooing?
Howie: It all started when i
was hanging out with Shannon Larratt, we talked
it over and 2 days later he and pauly and josh
had me tattoo the first ones
T. Angel: Você
sabe de alguém que tenha feito isso antes?
Howie: Não
que eu conheça, e eu tenho certeza que
não do modo que eu faço.
Até hoje ninguém fez uma cobertura

T. Angel:
Do u know if someone did it before you?
Howie: Not that i know of, and
i'm sure not in the way I did it, to this day
no one has done a full coverage on the white of
any eye.

Angel: Somente você está capacitado
para trabalhar com esse procedimento?
Howie: Sim nesse ponto. Eu sou o úncio
que tem feito isso. Poucas pessoas tentaram isso depois
de mim, mas ninguém teve qualquer resultado decente
de tatuagem no branco de um olho.
O que eu tenho dito é que eu gostaria de treinar
pessoas ou demonstrar para elas o que eu sei sobre isso,
e como eu acho melhor fazer.
È muito difícil fazer adequadamente e
se as pessoas vão experimentar isso, eu preferiria
que eles soubessem tanto quanto eles pudessem antes
de colocar alguém em risco.
T. Angel: Only
you are able for working with it?
Howie: Yes at this point I am the only
one who has done this, a few people have tried it after
me, but no one has done any decent amount of tattooing
in the white of an eye, that being said I would like
to train people or rather show them what I know about
it, and how I think it's best to go about doing this,
it's very hard to do properly and if people are going
to try it, I'd rather they know as much as they can
before they put anyone at risk.
T.
Angel: Quais os riscos?
Howie: MUITOS PODEM DAR ERRADO! São
muitos os riscos. Como uma reação ao qual
a tinta se espalhe para todo lado e impossibilite a
visão fora daquele olho.
T. Angel:
What about risks?
Howie: LOTS CAN GO WRONG! There are
many risks, like a reaction to the ink all the way to
not being able to see out of that eye.
T.
Angel: Você poderia nos dizer quantas
pessoas tem o globo ocular tatuado?
Howie: Eu diria menos que 20 ao redor
do mundo
T.
Angel: Could you tell us how many people had
the eyeball tattooed?
Howie: I'd say less than 20 around
the world.
T.
Angel: Eu

a cornea transplant, could I get ink in my eye?
Howie: I'd have to see your eye in
person to tell you for sure , but most likely yes.

Howie: Muitas pessoas pensam
que é uma injeção de tinta,
eu fiz poucas demonstrações, e em
filme parece que é assim. Ainda que não
seja do modo que é feito, é mais
parecido com uma "tatuagem manual".
Com a tinta e outras partes de como é feito
eu manterei em *silêncio* por enquanto.
T. Angel:
Tell us about the procedure. What do you use to
make this work? What about the ink?
Howie:
Many people think it is an injection of ink, I've
done a few shows and on film it looks this way,
yet this is not how its done, its more like hand
poke tattoo.
As for the ink and other parts of how this is
done I'm going to keep that *silent* for now.

Angel: Qual o preço?
Howie: 500 dólares, eu
somente faço um olho por vez. Eu não
farei a tattoo no outro olho até pelo menos
algumas semanas depois do primeiro. Eu prefiro
esperar alguns meses para ter certeza que é
o que a pessoa quer para sua vida. Você
nunca poderá remover esse tipo de tatuagem.

Angel: Could you tell us about the price
of an eyeball tattooing?
Howie: 500
usd per eye, Ionly do one eye at a time, Iwill
not tattoo the other eye until at least a few
weeks after the first, I'd rather wait at least
a few months to make sure the person wants this
for life as you can never remove this type of
tattoo.
T.
