Everyday that passes we see a new relationship website like Fotolog, Myspace, Orkut, Facebook and many others, springing in the virtual networks, causing a noise in various fields of society.
Nowadays, to have a virtual profile in a relationship website is almost an obligation for everybody as a way of communication or even to promote business.
Therefore it’s necessary to create networks also for the "minorities", where they can identify, strengthen and grow it as such. We have good examples that this works very well, as the case of IAM in Bmezine or even Bodymodifications.net.

The designer and fighter for good times Anoki, 31 years old, living in San Diego, California, is someone who believes in the idea that the union makes the force. He founded the first relationship website dedicated specially to the GLBT bod mod community.
We’ve talked to him to know a little more about this happy and great project!

Anoki, the head behind Inked-up.

T. Angel: When Inked-up started?
Anoki: I started Inked-Up.com in November of 2008. It is a part of a collection of sites for NoGoodz.com

T. Angel: What’s your purpose with this work?
Anoki: I started Inked-Up to be a social space for tatted-up, pierced-up, and modded-up queer individuals to connect with each other, educate on the history and future of our community, and share past and new experiences. I realized there was no online arena specifically for the modified LGBT community, and so I set out to create a MySpace/Facebook-like site that similarly-minded folks could join to form a strong online community.

T. Angel: Tell me what do you think about the “bod mod queer scene”?
Anoki: For the most part, I haven't seen much of a "bod mod queers scene" in and of itself, only queers within the larger bod mod scene. I am sure there are some really great yet unofficial pockets of pro-bod mod queers out there, but nothing I have found that was so visually cohesive. Hence I set out to create a safe and friendly space for that faction of the larger bod mod world to congregate and relate.

T. Angel: Inked-up has more than 400 members and the most of them are men. Girls are not allowed or they just don’t want to have fun?
Anoki: I am more than eager to have as many lesbian and transgendered folks as I can get on the site. I have just had an easier time finding gay men to join, probably because of the inherent social structure between men and the internet. You type "lesbian" and "tattoo" into a search engine and all you get is straight porn!

T. Angel: What’s allowed on this community?
Anoki: Although I would be more than happy to have anyone post every angle and focus of the beautiful process they are taking with their bodies, there are inherent laws that govern what can and cannot be posted. Intercourse and erections are a no, but tasteful shots, even if nude, are okay.

T. Angel: Tell us what you expect and what you wish for Inked-up?
Anoki: I would love for Inked-Up to become a global online home and connective point for the modified Gays, Lesbians, Bisexual and Transgendered community of the world. I would love to hear that my site brought light, laughter, and love to all it's members and that it inspires and educates while doing it!

A cada dia que passa nos deparamos com um novo site de relacionamento como Fotolog, Myspace, Orkut, Facebook e tantos outros que brotam nas redes virtuais causando um ruído em diversos campos da sociedade. Atualmente, possuir um perfil virtual em algum site de relacionamento é quase que obrigatório para todos. Seja como forma de comunicação ou até mesmo para promoção de trabalhos.
Com isso se faz necessário a criação de redes também para as “minorias”, onde elas possam se identificar, se fortificar e crescer como tal. Temos bons exemplos que isso funciona bem, como o caso do IAM no Bmezine ou até mesmo o Bodymodifications.net.
O designer e lutador por bons momentos, Anoki, 31 anos, que vive em San Diego, Califórnia, é alguém que acredita na idéia de que a união faz a força. Ele fundou o primeiro site de relacionamento voltado exclusivamente para a comunidade GLBT de modificados.
Conversamos com ele para sabermos um pouco mais desse feliz e ótimo projeto!

T. Angel: Quando começou o Inked-up?
Anoki: Eu comecei o Inked-up em Novembro de 2008. Ele é uma parte de uma coleção de sites da NoGoodz.com.

T. Angel: Qual sua proposta com esse trabalho?
Anoki: Eu comecei o Inked-up para ser um espaço social onde indivíduos gay tatuados, perfurados e modificados, se conectem uns com os outros, eduquem sobre a história e o futuro da nossa comunidade, e partilhem passadas e novas experiências. Percebi que não havia nenhuma área online especialmente para a comunidade LGBT de modificados, e por isso me propus criar um site como “MySpace / Facebook”, que pessoas inclinadas-similarmente pudessem participar de uma forte comunidade on-line.

T. Angel: Conte-nos o que você pensa sobre a “cena gay da bod mod”?
Anoki: Na maior parte, eu não tenho visto muito da “cena gay da bod mod” por si só, somente gays dentro de toda cena bod mod. Tenho certeza que há realmente alguns, ainda que não oficial, grandes grupos pró gays bod mod por aí, mas não encontrei nada que fosse visualmente formal. Por isso eu criei um espaço seguro e amigável para esse grande grupo da bod mod mundial se reunir e se relacionar.

T. Angel: Inked-up tem mais de 400 membros e em sua maioria, homens. Garotas não são permitidas ou elas apenas não querem diversão?
Anoki: Estou mais do que ansioso para ter muitas lésbicas e transexuais, tanto quanto eu posso para entrarem no site. Eu apenas tenho tido uma facilidade para encontrar homens gays para participarem, provavelmente devido à inerente estrutura social entre homens e internet.
Você digita "lésbica" e "tatuagem" em um site de pesquisa e tudo o que obtém é pornô hétero!

T. Angel: O que é permitido nessa comunidade?
Anoki: Embora eu fosse mais do que feliz por ter alguém para postar todos os ângulos e focos do belo processo que eles estão tendo com seus corpos, existem leis inerentes que governam o que pode e não pode ser postado. Coito e ereções não são permitidos, mas fotos com muito bom gosto, mesmo de nu, estão okay.


T. Angel: Conte-nos o que você espera e aquilo que você deseja para o Inked-up?
Anoki: Eu adoraria que o Inked-Up se tornasse uma home global online e ponto de conexão para a comunidade mundial de modificados gays, lésbicas, bissexuais e transgeneros.
Eu adoraria ouvir que meu site trouxe luz, riso e amor para todos os membros e que ele inspira e educa ao faze-lo!
